August: I survived.

Where to start, where to start?

August was a whirlwind month. I’m not really sure where it all went actually, but it was a good one. This is going to be a one sentence per photo update of the month because otherwise this would be a 5 page post!

My mom visits, we go to Iguazu, she somehow survives the bus rides.

Went on a cattle drive. Whooping and whistling and chasing cows on horses. YES! literally a dream/short term goal come true. Think Nicole Kidman in the movie Australia, except less action and no Hugh Jackman, que lastima (what a shame).

These are my coworkers, and they are fantastic. 500 kids, VAC (regional) environmental festival in Itacurubi. Also, new sitemate! She’s awesome.

HIV/AIDS sex ed charlas. Slowly passing on more responsibility on to the students. Terrifying but necessary. I’m not here forever!

Climbing here with the Saturday senior citizen club (Victor and Dale are both 45+, but school me easily): one of the only sports that make me both feel accomplished and tiny/like a rookie at the same time. Still learning.

Friendship, so much friendship here! I love that it is part of my job.

taken two weeks apart. Warm. Cold. Hot. COLD. HOT. I live a life of climatic extremes
